Born in 1922, Wood has consistently challenged traditional photography, often incorporating painting, drawing and collage as well as solarization, and offset lithography. Following war'send, Wood discovered the experimental work of Lazlo Moholy-Nagy, and enrolled at the Institure of Design of Chicago, where he studied photography with Harry Callahan and Art Sinsabaugh. This book is the first museum retrospective, spanning his career from early 1960s to the present. Text in english by David Levi Strauss, William S. Johnson and Erza Shales. Published by Steidl in 2008. The book is hardcover, new, and sealed.
