Very nice book of James Abbe titled " Shooting Staline", published in 2004 by Steidl. Catalog of the exhibition at the " Musée Ludwig" in Köln. Born in the U.S.A. in 1883, where he works before living to Europe, where he works for Vogue,Vanity Fair, and Vu. This book shows the beautiful photogrphies about Stalin's Moscou, last years of the Weimar Republic, battlefields of the Spanish Civil War, and all his wonderful pictures of New-York and Paris. In 1932, he was the only American given permission to photograph Stalin. Photographs of the rulers of the world became his specialty. Texts in english and german.The book is hardcover, new and sealed.
