MARC RIBOUD, born in Lyon, France, in 1923, is a photographer long associated with Magnum, has traveled the world, particularly in Asia, One of the first Europeans to enter China after the revolution, he spent four months teher in 1957 and returned in 1965, 1971, 1979, and 1980. Mr. Riboud’s photographs have appeared in major European and American magazines, and have been exibited in New York, London, and Paris. Two previous collections of his work, „THREE BANNERS OF CHINA"(1966) and THE FACE OF NORTH VIETNAM (1972), were awarded the Overseas Press Club Prize. |
