Caption backside :
"In order that the public shall be adequately cared for the event of a gas raid, the government are providing enough gas masks for each person. very small children cannot wear a respirator and for them a special device is at present under experiment. Fitting trials of respirators were held toay at Babies castle (Dr. Barnado's homes) at Hawkhurst, Kent, and the outcome will show the earliest age at which a child may be expected to be able touse a respirator."
