After medical studies, Otto Steinert is dedicated to photography in Saarbrücken. He founded the group Fotoform in 1949, including Toni Schneiders, and will give rise to subjective photography, as opposed to humanist photography. Exhibition catalogue of the Folkwang Museum in Essen (April-July 2008). Presentation of a selection of pictures by Otto Steinert (Saarrbrücken 1915 - Essen 1978) during his stay in Paris between 1949 and 1956. Images of buildings forming geometrical figures, playing with shadows and light. Text in German. Published in 2009 by Steidl. The book is hardcover, new and sealed. |
